Milo

Ralph has posted a picture of corn harvest.

The first year we lived in Kansas I was glad to see corn fields near our house because it made me feel closer to my Indiana home. I started worrying about the corn because it wasn’t getting very tall, then started sprouting these weird things. I finally shared my concern with John, and after he finished laughing he informed me that the “corn” was really milo. I didn’t know milo was a crop, I thought it was just a movie - “Milo and Otis”. So, it’s nice to see some real corn!

If it makes you feel any better I still have a problem with soy beans growing in Nebraska. The word ’soy’ all makes me think of Chinese food.
