In order to get in line to enter the DMV room (to which they kept the door closed) you had to tell a receptionist that you did have your test completed. I said that I did because it was complete, I just didn't realize that I'd left it at work. I did have the other two required papers with me, so the DMV lady got me a new test to complete. (Complete with a whole production because she had to get it from another room.) She sat there and watched me and seemed surprised that I got all the answers right. My reply? "Well, I should have gotten them all correct since I just did it before I came here."
The DMV really isn't the best place to vocalize sarcasm though.

They've been easier to get along with (our local examiners)since their boss and I had a discussion about how we expect folks to be treated whilst in our courthouse.

When you live in the country, you have to be organized on your trips to town. After five years, I'm still not there yet. I do keep a dry marker board near the door and a slot for the mail there too. It helps.
Our BMV has improved dramatically with all the changes they've done. Of course, everyone in Indiana hates change...but me it seems.
