thundersnow

Does this phenomenon exist outside of Kansas? I suppose it must, though this is the only place I’ve seen it. We are in the middle of a snowstorm and are expecting to get 4 to 8 inches. While the snow is coming down very heavily, there is also thunder and lightening. The whole thing is rather cool, although probably not what organizers of the big sale would have requested.

Yes, we have thundersnow in Indiana too. And usually we get whatever you are having two days later so I guess I should keep the boots handy. Yuck.

Earlier this year we had some. I thought it curious that the weathermen were saying 4 to 6 inches unless we have thundersnow and then we could expect 10 to 12 inches. We had it and got 12 inches.

Had to drive for 45 minutes late this evening in blinding, driven, wet snow. Only two measurable inches here in Pancake Flats, but it’s too much for this time of year. I know about the thundersnow. Seen it a few times myself.

Got a kick out of the global warming picture.

No snow here! We are having a few showers, not at all like Dallas and Ft. Worth tonight.

I have been missing your blog lately, Cliff told us about your neat [proof of] global warming. I thought I had better look, I like it.
