I called John between appointments at the senior apartments high rise. The cell phone signal wasn’t the strongest and John had trouble hearing me.

me: Sometimes the signal is bad because of the fire wall.

John: What phone are you using?

me: My cell. Sometimes the fire wall doesn’t let the signal through. I’ll move closer to a window.

John: But your cell phone doesn’t have to go through a server! What kind of software is it?

me: What does a server have to do with cell phone signals? This is just a big building with lots of concrete to prevent fires from spreading too fast.

John: Oh, a building fire wall, not a computer fire wall!

Isn’t communication with a geek fun?

That is funny. I love confused phone calls. My wife thinks I make a living doing it on purpose.
