Historic Time

I just never thought Indiana would change the time, and am in a state of shock that it actually happened. This was a huge political battle. “Some things are more important than re-election,” according to Rep. Troy Woodruff, R-Vincennes, who voted in favor of the change despite the wishes of his constituents.

Now the Hoosier State will learn the secret of the time change: You never really “gain” an hour because you spend all that extra time changing the time on your clocks, stove, microwave, VCR, DVD, computer, PDA, and car radios. And, there is always one thing that you forget to change the time on and find out months later. Grumble, grumble, grumble!

I hope I haven’t related this to you. My father-inlaw was a Colo St Rep. when they went to DST. He had a lady call him one night to tell him not to vote for it because her grass couldn’t stand anymore sunlight.

That is funny!

I just get a kick out of the Indiana change being called “heroic”. It’s like changing to DST will suddenly end world hunger.
