Forest of the Plains

I meant to post this a while back, but apparently I got distracted.

In March I started working for Big Brothers Big Sisters. I am a case manager for the Bigs In Schools program. In some ways this is very different from what I did before, but there are a lot of social work skills that are necessary no matter what the specific job is.

The summer is spent processing applications and matching Bigs and Littles for the next school year. It's not quite as busy as the school year, but there is still plenty to do.

The Big New Thing is that we will be using a new web-based software program soon. Once the bugs get worked out, this should be a good thing. Once the bugs get worked out.

I work 20 hours per week. It's very nice that I get to set my schedule, and can do some work from home. Jacob still goes to daycare two days a week and spends a third day with Grandma and Grandpa.
